I renewed my license and got prostate cancer. In 2021, a routine medical for my lorry license led to a PSA test—3.6, slightly below concern but rising fast. Ten months later, it hit 4.6. Tests, an MRI, and a biopsy confirmed early-stage prostate cancer. Thankfully, it hadn’t spread. I chose surgery, and five months later, I climbed Ireland’s highest peak. Recovery wasn’t just physical—Cancer Care West helped me through the mental toll. Now, Thomas and I are walking 100 km to raise awareness and funds. Men over 45, get your PSA checked—it could save your life!

Here's to the next big challenge!! As most of you will know,  my brother James sadly passed away last year with Cancer. This is in his memory and to raise much needed funds for Cancer Care West Donegal Branch. Please have a read, donate and share as much as possible. Let's get the message out there for men over 45 to get the PSA levels checked in their bloods. Simply call your doctor and make an appointment to get your bloods done and ask them what the PSA level was when you get the results.  It's that easy to give you peace of mind. Many thanks as always.
